About Yumi
Born and raised in Nagoya/Japan.
She has studied singing at VIT (Vocal Institute of Technology), which is a music institute in Japan, and has an international connection to the Musicians institute in Hollywood, CA, USA. She has studied classical piano for 11 years and worked as a professional singer with many musicians for 8 years in Japan. Worked for TV, CM and has also performed on the live stage. She worked as a vocal coach in YAMAHA Japan and the Music Institute Nagoya and she moved to Sweden in 2007. Now she is a vocal and piano teacher at Folkuniversitetet Västerås since 2011. Started offering lessons remotely in 2023.
She can sing Jazz, pops, rock, blues etc. in English, Swedish and Japanese and she sings with soul and emotion.
